The UVS inductive resolution on atmospheric polar vortex

Based on the UVS model, a polar vortex is a nested atmospheric free vortex manifested on its polar axis with the effects of precession.

In the UVS worldview, a polar free vortex manifested in the viscous matter medium of a vortically suspended celestial spheroid, is impelled by a larger vortical system that underlies the entire Solar System.

From the perspective with North Pole is at the top, it can be visualized that Earth rotates in counter-clockwise direction, and its revolving path around the Sun is also in counter-clockwise direction. As a matter of fact, Earth is a suspended spheroid with nested layers of viscous matter that primarily wobbles on these two axes when spinning, and the subtle spinning movements of Earth in its rotation on a revolving path have persistent fictitious forces manifested with its torque-induced precession effect.

And with conservation of angular momentum coupling in a differential manner, the torque-induced precession that have exerted on the mass center of the wobbling Earth, is conserved as a torque-free precession to resonate in the nested layers of viscous matter.

The atmosphere is flatter and thinner at the poles, is bulged and thicker at the equator, this oblate spheroidal shape is as a result of centrifugal force from Earth rotation on this axis. This rotation axis is the main axis of unisonal vortex mechanism for the polar vortex pair.



The main axis of unisonal vortex mechanism of a polar vortex of the Earth is on its rotational axis, and secondary axis is on revolution axis that was tilted at an angle of 23.5° from the rotating axis.

Do visual thinking as illustrated above, and imagine the Earth's surface of northern hemisphere is being flattened, in a manner maintaining the distance between the surface of Earth and the surface of atmosphere. From this perspective referencing to the flattened surface of Earth, we can conceptually visualize that the atmosphere has a parabolic shape structure, explicitly, this is a forced vortex (See vortex definitions) with a center of equilibrium at its geological pole.

On the atmospheric surface of a conceptually flattened Earth, the two geological poles at the highest latitudes in geometric vector, are at the two points with the lowest potential energy. And on the equator plane at zero latitude, the surface of the atmosphere is geometrically on a rim of the forced vortex with the highest potential energy; this is a paradoxical effect caused cognitive paradox that is rendered in a topsy-turvy manner.

Paradoxically, the apparently convex structure of a nested atmosphere in a hemisphere, is actually a concave structure.

With this delusional observation elucidated, the cognitive paradox could thus be meticulously resolved, and this revealed the underlying mechanism that manifest a polar vortex.

The fact that the apparently convex atmospheric surface around a polar axis is actually a concave atmospheric surface, and it is impelled to rotate with the two-axis spin of the Earth, is a qualitative proof for polar vortex is manifested with the precession effect of the Earth.

Note: Ever since this cognitive paradox was resolved on 5th May 2007, the author in its awakening has had first experienced an explosion of revolutionary discoveries.

UVS predicates that a polar vortex is a nested atmospheric free vortex manifested on the polar axis with the precession effect of the Earth.

The grounding for its epistemic theories of truth: The underlying structure and mechanism of polar vortex as explicated with its hypothetical construct based on the UVS model, elucidated its delusional observations that render its misconceptions, mysteries, and anomalies. Thus, its cognitive paradoxes could be meticulously resolved, and all the related natural phenomena were then qualitatively analysed in the conceptual frameworks of UVS by inductive reasoning for explicating with their empirical evidence to predicate by abductive reasoning.

From the UVS perspective, this is the causality for the mysterious mechanism on how cyclones and sunspots are drawn towards their geological poles by the centripetal force manifested with the potential gradient of their concave surfaces. Ironically, the Earth has to be conceptually flattened to visualize its actuality for solving the mystery. The lower latitude atmospheric vortex moving down towards the polar center, is in a way like a spinning top moving down a slope on a tilted and rotating platform. The inertial force is caused by a relative potential difference in a geometric gravity field acting on a parabolic structured atmospheric surface.

This relative potential difference in the spheroidal pushed-in gravitational field of the Earth, would generate a net inertial force on the lower latitude atmospheric vortex (such as cyclone), and thus vortically pushes the vortex from a relatively higher potential region in the visually obscured parabolic shaped atmospheric structure, to a relatively lower potential region at the geological pole. This effect causes tropical cyclone to be drawn toward the center of equilibrium at the polar region; it is not merely a directly applied force that pushes the atmospheric vortex to move toward its polar region.

UVS predicates that a lower latitude atmospheric vortex is drawn towards its polar region by its polar forced vortex with a potentially concaved surface manifested on the atmospheric layer.

In a nutshell, these are the primary forces of unisonal vortex mechanism that drives to form a cyclonic atmospheric polar vortex on the Earth:

  • Centrifugal force as a result of Earth's rotation develops on the main axis of unisonal vortex mechanism, formed a polar forced vortex on an atmospheric surface at a polar region.
  • Tangential force of another centrifugal force from Earth's revolving on a secondary axis, exerts a net westerly differential force in the atmosphere to externally drive the polar forced vortex.
  • The spheroidal pushed-in gravitational field of Earth interacts with this differential force, develops as a vortical core-seeking force to cause air mass to spiral on the not apparent concave surface of the polar forced vortex in a downward center seeking manner. In its chain reaction, it thus transforms the nested atmospheric forced vortex into a dual-core cyclonic free vortex at a geological pole.

The revolving Earth, has a centrifugal force exerted from its revolving axis. This revolving axis, is the secondary axis of the unisonal vortex mechanism of the polar vortex. Its tangential forces acted on different latitude in the primary forced vortex on its polar axis, render a persistent differential force that drives the primary forced vortex from the surface level in the nested layers of viscous matter medium.

Earth revolves around the Sun in its orbit on a revolving axis, is tilted at an angle of 23.5° from the rotating axis, and this subjects the polar vortex to its seasonal variations.

The conceptualized parabolic shape atmosphere on either hemisphere held by gravity, is also subjected to the tangential force of a centrifugal force acting from this secondary axis on Earth's revolving axis tilted at an angle from the rotating axis. The revolving movement of Earth has a angular momentum interacting in the atmospheric mass in the path of its movement.

This angular momentum in the nested layers of viscous matter medium is weakest at the side of Earth nearer to Sun, and strongest at the far side from Sun. The result is a net angular momentum is manifested in the viscous matter medium, which moves horizontally on the surface of the forced vortex toward the east, and manifests as a differential force that drives the forced vortex at the far side from the Sun in the direction of the rotation of Earth.

This effect impels and spins the manifested free vortex cyclonically.

This net angular momentum interacts with the spheroidal pushed-in gravitational field of Earth to regress in the forced vortex, and thus manifest in the atmospheric medium as centripetal force that pushes viscous matter with spiral motion in a center seeking manner; this mechanism transforms the forced vortex into a dominant dual-core free vortex.

This net horizontal westerly force interacts in a spheroidal pushed-in gravitational field of Earth on the not apparently concave surface of the atmospheric, will cause air mass at northern hemisphere to cyclonically spin in counter clockwise direction with spiral motion in a center seeking manner.

With a stronger torque-induced precession that occurs seasonally, when the cohesion force of air molecules in the nested atmospheric layers are overcome by centrifugal force in a spinning action, at the center of equilibrium, a vortex eye would open. And a vortical chain reaction with self perpetual motion will then occur to form the vortex column until the formation of the cyclonic free vortex is peaked.

During December solstice, while the axial tilt of the Earth on northern hemisphere is inclined at an angle pointed farthermost from the Sun, the atmospheric forced vortex on Earth formed perpendicular to its revolution axis, would be inclined ~23.5° from the rotating axis. Thus, the atmospheric pushed-in momentum from the secondary axis spin that impels the atmospheric polar forced vortex with the axial tilt of the Earth, would be at its most. These circumstances intensifies the nested polar vortex on the northern hemisphere, and thus widens its nested vortex column to spread the entire nested polar vortex, extending it southward. This effect would bring the colder Arctic air southward.

During summer solstice, the axial tilt of the Earth on northern hemisphere is inclined at an angle pointed nearest to the Sun, the atmospheric pushed-in momentum from the secondary axis spin that impels the atmospheric polar forced vortex would be at its least. These circumstances weakens the nested polar vortex on the northern hemisphere, and thus shrinks the entire nested polar vortex, receding it northward. This effect would bring the warmer tropical air northward.

The seasonal variation on Earth, is rendered by the extend of how much the nested polar vortex has opened up toward the equator.

The atmospheric effects of polar vortex

For the UVS perspective, the cold core phenomenon of polar vortex from mid to top section of stratosphere, is as a result of sunken mesosphere has filled the void in the vortex column.

And the polar climate is largely as a result of a polar vortex has vortically dispersed troposphere in the low pressure system of its nested vortex column, its effect causes the freezing tropopause to be lowered nearer to the sea level.

UVS predicates that polar climate is significantly caused by vortically dispersed atmospheric layers in the vortex column of a polar vortex.

For the UVS perspective, the nested polar vortex of stratosphere and tropopause with its nested vortex column manifested within the boundary of the subtropical jet stream, is the causality for the subtropical climate.

From the UVS perspective, when the Solar System alignment with its focused tidal force manifested on the atmosphere in a winter night at the northern hemisphere during the perihelion of Earth, with the Moon and Sun also aligned, the combined tidal forces of the aligned Sun and Moon would significantly decrease the altitude of the atmospheric layers at its polar focal point.

This effectively transforms the structure of the atmosphere as an ellipsoid, which is technically a pair of elongated forced vortex formed approximately along the plane of ecliptic. With the much lowered altitude, the atmosphere is shallower and less denser around the polar regions. Cyclonically impelled by the rotation of the Earth on its tilted axis, it could more easily drive the forced vortex pair to transform it as a higher intensity dual-core nested polar vortex pair.

The axial tilt of Earth when pointed furthermost away from the Sun, would induce the strongest angular momentum on the tidally stretched atmosphere with the outward tilted rotation of the Earth in its revolving path. This effect thus forms a more intensified nested polar vortex that extends further toward the equator.

The axial tilt when pointed nearest to the Sun, would induce the weakest angular momentum on the tidally stretched atmosphere with its inward tilted rotation of the Earth in its revolving path. This effect thus forms a less intensified nested polar vortex that extends lesser toward the equator.

UVS predicates that polar vortex can be significantly affected by the focused tidal force of significant Solar System objects in an alignment.

In summer, the tilted Earth with the pole positioned nearest to the Sun, its nested polar vortex would thus shrink toward the pole.

In winter, the tilted Earth with the pole positioned furthermost away from the Sun, its nested polar vortex would thus open wider toward the equator.

On a summer's day in southern hemisphere rendered by the axis tilt of a perihelion Earth, at regions near the equator with the thickest atmospheric layers pushed out by the rotation of the Earth, in high pressure systems with the atmospheric layers are denser and thicker at nearer the equator, could explain why those higher atmospheric pressure land regions, are the warmest places on Earth with increased solar irradiance and increased solar insolation during the grand solar maximum.

With lesser dragging effect of landmass at the South Pole, the Antarctica polar vortex would thus be more intensified than the Arctic polar vortex for lowering and displacing the troposphere with freezing tropopause layer in its vortex column. Therefore, on a winter solstice night rendered by the axis tilt of an aphelion Earth, with the high altitude continent of the Antarctica, the polar vortex is also most intensified by the focused tidal forces of a perigee moon with aligned Sun-Moon that is also aligned with the gas giants that extremely intensify its nested polar vortex and jet streams to cause its lower pressure nested vortex column in the troposphere to widely open, could explain why Antarctica is the coldest place on Earth with reduced solar irradiance and reduced solar insolation during the grand solar minimum.

The South Pole polar vortex at the Antarctica as observed, has an elongated dual-core vortex eye, and evidently, this free vortex wobbles in synchronization with the Earth-Moon precession cycles.

A web site by NASA shows an animation of the Antarctica Ozone Hole monitored by a satellite over a two months period, is a scientific evidence for the tidal force from Moon, interacts with the atmospheric polar vortex of the Earth. This infers the entire polar vortex, rotates in synchronization with the revolution cycle of the Moon.

The fact that Antarctica polar vortex is subjected to its Earth-Moon precession cycles as was empirically observed, is a qualitative proof that the motion of the Moon perturbs the Antarctica polar vortex.

Indubitably, the Moon orbiting around the Earth, inherently perturbs the cyclonic rotation of the entire polar vortex pair that mount on the two poles of the Earth.

As empirical observed, the Arctic polar vortex of stratosphere could manifest a dual-core vortex column that more or less embeds onto the Earth. The dragging effects of landmass would have reduces it intensity, and had thus caused it to become embedded, it therefore does not have a prominent opened-through vortex column.

UVS predicates that the Arctic polar vortex is embedded to Earth's rotation by the dragging effects of landmass.

The revolution cycle of the Moon, despite has had appeared to be could not cause the embedded dual-core vortex column as a whole to rotate, each of the two cores of the manifested dual-core Arctic polar vortex, could be empirically observed to be intrinsically rotating in synchronization with the revolution cycle of the Moon.

The meandering structure of the Arctic polar vortex around the subtropical region in its circumstantial transformations, could also be empirically observed to be intrinsically rotating in synchronization with the revolution cycle of the Moon.

Check with "Earth - The global wind map" on PC to investigate the intrinsic rotations of the Arctic polar vortex using its [Control] option with the [Height] set to 70 hPa.

As illustrated with the image of the nested Arctic polar vortex, at times it could be manifested as a tri-core hexagonal-shaped nested polar vortex with a manifested satellite polar vortex.

As illustrated with the animation on right, during the first and third quarter Moon, the neap tide of ocean caused by lunisolar precession would occur to form the tidal bulges with a quad-core as a result of tidal force. The tidal depressions formed by neap tide in the nested atmosphere of Earth, in actuality is a quad-core atmospheric forced vortex.

Heuristically, the neap tide of the atmosphere would render the embedded nested Arctic polar vortex with four vortical cores. With the rotation of the Earth, one of the core presummably has resonated to manifest as the nested satellite vortex of the nested polar vortex, while the other three cores were formed as the tri-core of the transformed polar vortex. The regressional tidal effect on the tri-core, causes the forced vortex to be transfomed as a hexagonal-shaped nested atmospheric polar vortex.

From the UVS perspective, a polar vortex column of troposphere widened by precession effect, can cause polar climate to extend toward the equator. And the effect of a supermoon in its lunar cycle during winter when a pole of Earth is tilted furthermost away from the Sun, would cause the polar climate to spread furthermost toward the equator. The extreme climate variations on Earth, can be caused by the planetary mechanism that affects the nested polar vortex pair of the Earth.
